About us

Expert Guide is the only central place where journalists, government, business and the community can connect with thousands of academic and professional experts. We include experts from universities, research centres, museums, CRCs, industry/professional groups, associations, and many more organisations across Australia. We are the only site of our kind and are proud to have been the catalyst for linkages between many of our experts and visitors interested in knowing more about their work.

We encourage visitors to use this free resource to enhance your research, reporting, teaching and other activities by making contact with one of the many experts listed on this site. To do so, just type an expertise keyword (eg. “leadership”, “biotechnology”) in the search box above. Our search engine will try to find you the most relevant experts, and you can then make contact with them directly or by using our secure email form.

How can my organisation participate?

Expert Guide is funded and its content managed by the organisations with experts in our database. We accept registration from organisations including: universities, colleges, research centres, CRCs, industry/professional groups, associations, and selected businesses (subject to approval). Participating organisations benefit from increased exposure of their staff and research, which can result in:

  • more opportunities for “expert” media commentary
  • new collaborative research and consulting opportunities
  • more contacts from potential research students
  • global opportunities to share knowledge with colleagues, professionals and the community.

You can learn more about us in this section, which includes our FAQs, as well as some feedback from our satisfied clients. Or, if you are ready to get your experts online, simply click here to join.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Expert Guide.
